ArtSeen Gallery exhibits artwork by local artists, with the mission to raise awareness and support for local non-profit organizations. We sponsor art exhibits at no cost to the artists, who reciprocate by donating a portion of sales directly to their selected charity. The gallery is fully funded by Tri-Graphics Picture Framing and Brett Silbert.
Most of the artists are established, skilled professionals, but we do offer exhibitions to students who receive public service credits for working with our selected charities. We also feature up-and-coming artists that may have personal relationships with issues addressed by the charities.
ArtSeen was established in 1979 by June Linowitz as a source for fine art in a corporate environment. June went on to become the Director of Studio Gallery in Washington DC, and then earned a place on the Board of Directors of Arts on the Block. ArtSeen's current mission is to help Washington DC area charities that focus on youth issues. We host art shows that raise money, but more importantly, awareness, for serious causes that affect the young people in our community. June Linowitz is an advisor to the new ArtSeen Gallery.
